Drink Stands

This version is meant to poke in the ground. It will hold a bottle or can in a koozie. Other versions are for wine glasses or for hard surface like a patio or living room.
Plant Balls

Kestrel Ridge Forge worked with Roundtree Landscaping on their display garden at the State Fair. It's near the Chevy Main Stage. We did 14 plant balls, some hanging from the pergola and others in the ground on rods. Powder coated in bright red, bright blue and bright purple, they were a great addition to the garden. They ranged in diameter from 12 inches to over three feet.
Barn Window Hardware

Custom designed barn window hardware. We did the shutter dogs, and latch. We also did the main entrance doors handles and the tool rack inside the barn for shovels, racks and manure forks. Then in the WC, we did the towel bars and toilet paper holder. Oh, and had a sign for inside the barn plasma cut; that came out really cool. We used the roses from the curtains as part of the logo next to the ranch name.

Fishing Pole Stand

Going camping at the lake? Take one of these along to hold your fishing pole and bottle or can at the same time. Two large tines stick in the ground to provide a stable platform and keep the big ones from hauling off your tackle. Catch dinner, then bring it back to the campfire and cook it up with our Campfire Hardware.

Kestrel Ridge Forge often gets requests for tool sets that are custom designed and forged. A normal three-piece set includes a Poker, Shovel and Broom with either a stand or wall mount bracket. We do a wide variety of designs from traditional to very contemporary.
Fireplace grate

This grate was made from 7/8” solid steel bar. It was made tall to assist with air flow and put the fire closer to the chimney. This was part of several modifications to an incorrectly built outdoor fireplace/chimney to get it to draw better. We also installed a baffle and raised the height of the chimney.

Grape vines were to be planted at the posts to grow over the top. I remember my grandmother had one of these and the giant clusters of concord grapes hanging down were delicious. Seeds not withstanding.
Pigtail

Called a pigtail because of the curl at the end, it’s great for turning meat on the grill. Or for reaching the box on the top shelf. They come in both right hand and left hand configurations. These are made from railroad spike salvaged (legally) from an East Texas WWII army base. Paired with a railroad spike bottle opener, it’s a great dad gift.
We’ve also made giant versions out of rebar (also a high carbon steel, for rigidity) for pitmasters turning giant briskets on their smoker. Needed to be long enough to reach the back of the smoker and operate with two hands.

A gazing ball is a standard fixture in a garden, and this one is is glass mosaic so it required a special stand. Forged leaves and a delicate set of legs make this a unique installation.

Burn Barrel Lid

Made with a heavy duty hinge section and three fingers that slide over the edge of the barrel. After the expanded metal rusts away, it can easily be replaced. The handles protrude far enough out to stay cool.
